Two years ago today, The Hire Partner started trading.

We began in a 600 square foot unit, with three directors and a plan to make equipment hire simpler for busy, growing businesses. Today, we’re in a 1,600 square foot office with room for up to 28 people, currently home to a team of 13 and growing fast.

In that time we’ve worked with over 100 customers across the UK, helping them get the right plant, tools and equipment on site without the hassle of juggling multiple suppliers.

Sustainability has been part of how we work from the start, not an add-on. Through our partnership with Treeapp, we’ve now planted over 4,000 trees, absorbing more than 450 tonnes of CO₂ over their lifetime and reforesting over 27,000 m² of land. It’s also created 42 workdays for local communities along the way. That’s grown from the 1,000 trees we celebrated at our first anniversary, and we intend to keep growing it.

None of this happened by standing still. It’s come from trusting the right people, building supplier relationships that customers can genuinely rely on, and staying focused on solving problems quickly rather than making them complicated.

We’re proud of where we’ve got to, and we’re not finished. Here’s to the next two years.
